Every 90 days we have a Drawing to give away our acclaimed Suture & Tying Practice Lab ($595 retail value) with a DVD production covering 23 basic to advanced wound closure techniques!

This quality production comes with DVD, a custom Suture & Tying Quick Study Guide, a practice lab, a multilayered abdominal wall simulator, a multi-incision simulator, and enough surgical sutures to receive an adequate amount of practice with all the presented wound closure techniques. In this home study workshop, the student learns the characteristics of suture and needles and how to use them to the best advantage. They learn how to handle instruments like seasoned experts. Surgical technique is clearly demonstrated on DVD and the student can replay as much as necessary and then practice that technique for the prescribed minimum time and as long as it takes for them to master that skill. A partial list of the 23 surgical skills include: one-handed tying, two-handed tying, instrument tying, vessel tying, simple interrupted stitch, figure-of-eight, horizontal mattress, vertical mattress, running simple, running horizontal mattress, running vertical mattress and the subcuticular skin stitch. Once all 23 skills are learned, the student is instructed as to how to close an actual surgical wound. They then use their multilayered abdominal wall simulator to practice wound closure technique. Once the student completes this training, under the supervision of a surgeon, she/he should be sufficiently prepared to successfully close an actual surgical wound.

"This is an incredible learning experience.  I’ve been in the OR 14 years and didn’t know the screw went up to palm on suture scissors!!  I’ve learned a vast amount in this time, and my physically retarded tying fingers are now in MENSA!!" Kelly, RNFA Student

"Wonderful!  The content covered was exactly what I needed to learn.  The suture tying video and lab were excellent.  Anatomy was taught in lecture, as well as during the surgical procedure demonstrations." Yolanda RNFA Student
